I have been obsessed with gem stones since a junior school trip to Blue John Mines in Derbyshire when I was 7 or 8 years old… I couldn’t believe the dirty old earth could create such shining beauty in the darkness…

I’ve been designing and making furniture for the last fifteen years but as I get older I find that I need to downsize… both the physical product and the operation… I need to feel challenged and excited again, the way I did when I first set up my furniture business… so feet don’t fail me now… let’s jump into this…

As a lifelong hobbyist I am mostly self taught, but since deciding to take this to the next level I now regularly visit a local master jeweller for one to one tuition and guidance…

I am so lucky to have found such a talented master craftsmen who I can rely on to guide my practice… he is inspiring and reassuring in equal measure… with him at my back I can be confident in designing the jewellery I really want to make and present to the world here… but it’s still very early days so a lot of the work is experimental and not as perfect as it will be in the future and hence it is priced accordingly….

For now and always, all my jewellery is, and will be, hand crafted with love using recycled metals and rough gemstones in my little home studio at our farm on Crow Hill in West Yorkshire.
